Meet Violet Gleed

With lots of hard work, commitment and a lot of fondness for dogs, Violet Gleed established Dogs Galore at the Alloa Trade Centre unit in 1994.

Since Violet was a young girl, she watched her Dad spend all day faithfully grooming their pet poodle with hand clippers. This is where her passion for dog grooming began.

Violet always wanted to be a dog groomer, but she had a secure job with BT, with years of service. During this time, with Violet owning and showing Afghan Hounds she practiced by grooming her beloved dogs herself. Until one day she was faced with the option of voluntary redundancy, which she happily took as an opportunity to fulfill her dream of being a dog groomer.

Now free from BT and ready to start her dream career, Violet moved down south, with her own dogs in toe, where she worked and trained as a groomer at a long established dog grooming parlour, only travelling home at weekends to see family and friends.

Now the training was over, Violet returned to Scotland for good. Having found her business unit in the trade centre in Alloa, Dogs Galore was now established.

15 years later.... here we are.
